Highlight of my day. Decided to make some caps commemorating the episode (pardon the lousy caps, I still need some refining).
So first, Jessica found out about Constance’s run-in with Elise in Paris, leading her to ask Elise out, presumably to have a heart-to-heart, woman-to-woman, bitch-to-bitch talk/confrontation.
Elise didn’t spare any time at all, jumping straight to the point where her plan worked out brilliantly, rambling off about how Terrence is on her side and Jessica is finished. She was so full of herself, telling Jessica how she won’t have any evidence that she made another ring to trick Terrence bla bla.
Jessica flashes a few devious smiles of her own, saying that she didn’t need to tell Terrence herself. Well, anyway Terrence won’t believe Jessica over Elise. Technically…
Elise told both Terrence and Woh about her betrayal, not Jessica. And Terrence in the cap above, did what he does best: look shocked. Haha. Woh Chai is feigning anger, but he’s probably too nice to do anything bad to Elise. Omg, Elise. What has she done?
Yes! That moment was so satisfying, seeing the bitch get slapped. She was asking for it, actually, throwing herself at him and spewing out things like “I have feelings for you!” in desperation. Yeah, feelings of hatred more like. Despite being such a goonhead before, Terrence sees through her and leaves her yelling empty threats at him in the car park. Silly empty threats like “your mum and dad will die painful deaths”. Like he’s afraid his mum is going to die another time.
With Terrence gone, all she could do was turn to Woh Chai.
But even Woh Chai would have none of it. As she cries and cries her crocodile tears, begging him to not to ignore her because he’s the only one she has left (yeah, right), he coolly hands her a tissue, and says “I’m only human”, then walks away. Awww. Elise then sits on the ground of the parking lot all alone, laughing and crying to herself because she’s gone cuckoo. Priceless.
Picspam apart, the whole Catherine-Calvin situation is starting to get on my nerves. I hate how Catherine had to keep rubbing in the fact that Calvin gave her that watch he got from winning some Young Entrepreneur Award. It’s like some tai-tai flashing her 1-carat diamond ring at every opportunity. Hmmph. I wouldn’t that Sylvia didn’t ask for it, granted, she did push Calvin towards Catherine. But still, for that woman, who single-handedly blackmailed Sylvia into marrying a gay man to keep flaunting her marital bliss (or the lack of it) in front of the woman whom she knows is in love with her husband. God, I wish an anvil would fall on her.
Other developments include Jessica’s accident, which I foresee will be another issue between the sisters, now that Mummy has decided to take the blame for it. Also, the sore lack of development between Terrence and Constance, after Constance decided to just send him a divorce letter/petition? without even listening to his side of the story. Ever since the Paris incident, I believe she hasn’t spoken to him even once. How the hell is he going to explain himself if she wouldn’t even let him? Not that he is right in any case here, but I feel it’s silly that she would completely avoid him whatsoever. Anyway, Jessica is right in saying that Terrence was never right for Constance. But now that Constance knows how Jessica truly thinks of her marriage to Terrence, she might just do something completely unexpected. Like stay married to Terrence and spite the hell out of Jessica. No, that’s not really likely to happen, because Constance is so bloody self-righteous with all her silly principles and stuff like that. Gawd. Would the scriptwriter stop making her out to be a victim already?
This episode was really not too bad, lots of thrills and spills, and not just because of those cheap yelling argument scenes. (Think Moonlight Resonance.) There is really some potential for developing storylines, intriguing ones at that, with Will’s business power coming into play, seems like there’ll be some corruption of his mind and lots of friction with Calvin. And Calvin, and his whole relationship situation which he either knows and pretends not to know, or does not have a clue about at all. Constance, who might turn against her family to do the right thing. Jessica, who will suffer consequences after a careless mistake. Sylvia, what kind of repercussions will she further encounter. Can’t wait for the next episode.
